While I think it’s safe to say Christmas holds top honours when it comes to the time of year we smile the most, autumn isn’t too far behind. To illustrate this, I’m going to let some photos do all the talking. I figured that since it’s Friday, I’d make this easy on you and throw a post out there that’s of no effort whatsoever.
So please, enjoy all the pretty, pretty colours!

Beautiful photos! What kind of camera do you use?
Thanks so much, Noel! I’m super happy with them.
I use a Canon XTi Digital SLR with a 17-55mm f/2.8 lens on it. Sometimes I’ll use a 50mm fixed, but that’s usually only when Cassie’s using the other for food photography.
Ok thanks just curious if it was a Nikon. Ours broke and we are looking at various cameras to replace it. Of course it has to be another Nikon because of the lenses we have. We love using the fixed 55mm. Love your blog!
Thank you so much! Like I tell others, we are so pleased to have people regularly check up on what we’re up to over here and find some enjoyment out of it.
Thank you again and good luck finding a new camera!
These are gorgeous! You all don’t mind if I use one as a desktop wallpaper do you?
Thank you! And not at all! We’ve actually talked about putting up a wallpaper page on here so people can grab some higher res versions. Which one do you like?
Well they are all amazing. But I especially love autumn-10 and autumn-21
Those are good ones! Unfortunately, I don’t think they’ll translate well to desktop since they’re portrait oriented instead of landscape. You can try, but you’ll either have a large border on the sides or if you stretch to fit, it’ll be distorted or you’ll lose a lot of the photo.
26, 24 and 23, a few of the landscape ones, would be great for desktops, if you want to try those. There are some portrait ones that could be rotated as well, like 14, 13, 8, 5 and 1.
I’m going to try to get a wallpaper section up tonight or tomorrow, so you can either grab from the post and use it or you can check back and grab the higher res of one of those!
Those are beautiful!
Thanks Sam! It’s crazy to have been here so many times and obviously always thought it was a beautiful place, but you never really understand it until you get to see the changes every day.
How are the trees looking out there?
Beautiful! I like all of them, but I think autumn-16 and autumn-19 are my fave
I just like the metalwork starting to rust as if it’s changing with the seasons and going with the flow to turn orange/brown.
Good choices. 16 is one of my favs of the bunch as well. Glad you like them!
Amazingly beautiful photographs! You should find room for some of these autumny shots on your walls!
Surprisingly enough, we may very well run out of room on our walls really quick! It would be nice to take one of these shots and replicate it for every season and make a quadtych. I just don’t know which one!
Thanks so much for the love.
Beautiful pictures Craig! I love what you guys did with the broken plow. Fall is my favorite time of year – even over Christmas. Christmas only lasts for a few days – Fall lasts a couple months at least. I love the flavors and the smells and the colors.
Thanks so much, Amber! I think for the two of us, Christmas lasts a lot longer than just the actual days of Christmas. It starts whenever we start feeling it, and I think that actually gets earlier and earlier every year. I wouldn’t be surprised if we started decorating right after Halloween!
But yeah, we do love fall a hell of a lot.
Yeah. So…those were awesome.
Well thank you, Brittany!
